As you may have seen on the news, AB394 has required a reorganization of the school district. As a result, each school must elect a School Organizational Team.

Would you like to serve on the new School Organization Team?

Do you know another parent who would make a good representative on this team?

Nominations and Elections will take place soon.  Ask our office staff or keep an eye on this page for a link to more information coming soon.

During the timeframe in which the schools in the Clark County School District are closed, we are providing student learning extension opportunities for all students. These student learning extension opportunities are not required for students to complete but attempt to provide activities for students to engage in learning at home.

Student learning extension activities accessible through pencil and paper will provide opportunities for students to practice concepts and skills they have previously been taught during the school year. The learning extension activities will be available at food deployment locations throughout the Las Vegas valley and online at ccsd.net in the near future.

Students in grades 3-5 can access the following resource:  MAP Accelerator in Mathematics for Grades 3rd - 8th https://www.khanacademy.org/login

In addition, Rhodes Elementary students have access to MobyMax for practice in ALL subject areas.  All students know their login information and we will be giving prizes for MobyMax usage during this time away from school when students return.

Teachers may also send information on Class Dojo or Remind of resources you can access (ex. Khan Academy, ReadyGen, or Envisions resources for reading or math).

The Clark County School District (CCSD) will continue providing breakfast and lunch to students during the closure of our schools beginning Monday, March 16, 2020.  Student food distribution pods will be set up at 15 school locations throughout the valley from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.  Please visit ccsd.net for the sites.  Our closest locations are:

Centennial HS   (10200 Centennial Pkwy., Las Vegas, NV 89149)

Shadow Ridge HS    (5050 Brent Ln., Las Vegas, NV 89131)

Parents can also pick up academic resources at these sites.  In order to comply with federal regulations, a school-age child must be present for food to be distributed. The pickup location will be set up outside of the school sites to facilitate distribution. Additionally, CCSD will be working with our government and community partners to set up food distribution options to ensure our students have access to additional food. Information on these options will be shared with parents as soon as it is available.
